Wanted: new Singer
Some may already know it, some suspected it but everyone wished for it: we will have a new silver disc in the stores for you from May 28th!
The Digi-Pack with shiny new artwork will consist of 2 CDs with the following ingrediants:

ANNOUNCEMENT: TOUR CANCELLED!
It feels like a goddamn deja-vu having to announce another cancellation only a few days before.
This year it's our tour that we were about to start THIS friday!
Few gigs will still take place, more about that further down the page.
The reasons for the cancellation of the tour are not to be found in this band or any of the other bands, but only and completely with the promoter, the Metal Maniacs Agency of Florin Sandor.
While the communication was good in the beginning, and the plans seemed to fall into place quickly, it started to become more difficult to stay in contact as Florin would sometimes not answer for weeks. When we didn't have a contract one week before the tour should have started we contacted the other bands and the bus company, and guess what - everywhere the same, nobody has received enough information and no advances had been paid. This, together with the fact that already some venues had cancelled their respective gigs without Florin or someone else from the Metal Maniacs Agency feeling the need to inform us about these chances in the last week before the start left us no real choice but to cancel the tour now.
Also Florin didn't answer any calls or e-mails in the past few days until (what a coincidence!) Shining released an official statement yesterday through their homepage.
We and all the other bands would have loved to get on the road together to see so many countries and their ways how to celebrate metal - what's happening is in no way the fault of any of the bands, but it's all due to lousy plannning and shitty information politics of the promoter Florin and his Metal Maniacs Agency.
We hope to start another tour at some point of time in the future; and of course that will be much better planned and organized by a different promoter and there will be no excuses or retreats then!

After all these bad news there's at least 2 good ones: The show on saturday in Dresden will take place, with a different line-up (thanks to Enni!). Also our appearance at the Wolfszeit Festival is safe; even more since we will play on both days; each a completely different set! (thanks to Philipp!).

I'd like to take the moment to advertise our t-shirts, that are available again in all sizes. Like Patches and CD's you can order them by e-mail directly from us!

Release-Gig and T-Shirts!
After celebrating the start of the concert-year 2009 this weekend in Coburg it's time to announce more good news:
first you can already pre-order tickets for the release show for our new album "..zum Tode hin" and Frozen Infinity's "Fragment Of I".
Also, we're always adding more and more gigs to our list for this year, and finally we can announce the arrival of the reprints of our t-shirts and girlies, so that we able to provide every metal-fan out there with the fitting sizes of Finsterforst-clothes.

"...zum Tode hin"-RELEASE-Gig and more gigs confirmed!!!
Due to our release of our second album "...zum Tode hin" (...towards death) which will be released at February the 27th, there will be a release-party at the 11th of april in the Crash in Freiburg.

Deal with Einheit Produktionen + new album in 2009!

Finally we are able to announce the release of our second studio album "...zum Tode hin" (english: "...towards death"), which will be published on February the 27th of 2009 via Einheit Produktionen! The new album, which was recorded (of course again!!!) in the Iguana Studios (March/Freiburg), will contain five big, epic, bombastic, atmospheric, melodic, heathenish, beautiful songs with a total playing time of more than 70 minutes!!!

We are sorry to announce that we are cancelling our sunday gig at the Waldschrat Festival that was planned for this weekend...
Being more precisely, it's not exactly us that is cancelling, but the organizer of the festival will probably have to do this himself. There's no official statement as of yet, even though it was due of today.

Since we don't believe it would be wise to wait even longer, we now do what would have had to be done way earlier.
Even though I don't wanna anticipate the organizer's press release, it's high time to make a clean sweep - this festival has been planned or has been in the process of being so for more than six months now, and requiring a cancellation by the bands instead of the organizer in order to prevent the fans from an unsuccessful and frustrating journey is just - sad.

We would have loved to play this festival, have been looking forward to meet old and new friends in fans and bands. We really hope we will meet you at another event soon!

Finally our Finsterforst-t-shirts and girlies everybody longed-for are available! Here you can order the shirts for each 12 Euros + shipping and in combination with Weltenkraft for 20 Euros.

Furthermore our fans are lucky for the double, because the works for our next album are in progress und the Iguana Studios in Buchheim are already booked.

After a very merry closing of the year 2007 - which was quite successful after having played 12 concerts - we're heading into a new year with at least as much verve. Especially since there are quite some gigs confirmed already! Of course we'll try to play even more shows as in 2007, and those of you that know us know that no show is like any other ;-)
This year will not only be in one respect full of surprises; not going into too many details it is sure that we won't have lots of quiet moments!

Along with O.M.S we will support the Septimbears at their release-show on 22nd December '07 at the Crash Freiburg. Yeah, you've read correctly: Finally the debut of the world's greatest Provincerock/Trumpetmetal-band is going to be presented to the world!
For only 5 Euros you'll be getting into the Crash at 8 pm and on 8.30 sharp the show will begin!

Additionally, we're working hard on t-shirts for you, so with a little bit of luck you can get them on that day right along with the brandnew Septimbears record (and ours of course *g*). If that ain't a reason to attend an x-mas gig... Ha!
